More Sherlockian Potpourri

I was pleased to find a Kannada translation in my mailbox on Wednesday. This is the eighty-second language in my collection. It is strange but there was no bill attached to with the package. The books came from Totalkannada, located in Bangalore. They arrived in the oddest packaging as I have ever seen. The books were sewn into the cloth envelope. I had to take pictures because it was the strangest package I have ever received. I have included the pictures below for the amusement of our readers. I suppose those people who read Kannada are awesome streamsters or seamstresses or whatever good sewers they call themselves.

The Kannada translation makes the eighty-second language I have in my collection.
Sherlock Holmes Sahasagalu published in Bangalore by Sugha Enterprises. This 2009 book has 148 pages and the translation from English into Kannada is by G. M. Krishnamurthy. There are five stories included in this edition. They are Scan.—Iden.—RedH.—Croo.—Bosc. This book is not in any of the De Waal bibliographies.

Sherlock Holmes Sahasagalu

In other North Texas Sherlockian news, long time Diogenes Club of Dallas members and a touring member of The Great Whimsical Sherlockian Tour of Oklahoma and Texas, Herb Linder and his wife Pat celebrates their Fiftieth Wedding Anniversary on April 16.  I have included a couple of photographs of Herb, however Pat seems to be camera shy because I do not have any photo of her. This is too bad because Pat has the remarkable ability to become younger every year.  Happy Anniversary to Pat and Herb.
