The Dark Lantern League is a Sherlockian role-playing society founded on the internet, attempted as an e-mail list on Yahoo! Groups from August 2002 to February 2003. The group's Yahoo! site was shut down due to lack of activity, but a special League issue of The Holmes & Watson Report in September 2003, followed by a 2003 Christmas Annual distributed at the 2004 New York Holmes birthday weekend, gave the group a chance for a comeback.

Now communicating with the world via The Dark Lantern League Electro-Graphic Monthly, the League appears once more . . .
