The Galactic Sherlock: An Update
By Don Hobbs

Thanks are in order this week to Fred Levin, BSI. Fred sent me sixteen pages of information for my database. The bibliographic information and the cover scans however were arrived separately, so I have spent most of the weekend matching, formatting, and consolidating information. Thanks to Fred, I also corrected several errors in The Galactic Sherlock Holmes 7.7. I will be ready to issue The Galactic Sherlock Holmes 7.9 in early September.

The database has grown substantially since it was last released. Currently I am at 501 pages and that will rise to around 520, once I have finished added all of the remaining information that I have gathered. So far only Tim Kline and Fred have sent me information. Anyone who has any non-English Canonical translation not included in my database, please email me the information including a jpeg scan of the cover. I need the title, city of publication, publisher's name, the translator's name if given, the year of publication and the number of pages. I also need the contents.

After I received Fred's information, I came up with an abbreviation, unique to every contributor, so I can give everyone credit where it is due. This will also serve another purpose. If there is a question over a particular entry, further inquiries can be directed at the contributor directly. All contributors will get a free copy of  The Galactic Sherlock Holmes each time it is released.Anyone wishing to get a CD in Pdf  can send me $10 for a one year subscription. New releases will normally be twice a year, however, there will be three in 2007.

I have copied a sample page to show the way the images are next to the De Waal entries and following that is "NIDW- Not In De Waal section. Please not that DW #C3958 I have added the scan next to the entry. Number C3959 and C3960 I do not have scans for these two book. Starting right after C3960 is the first of the NIDW section for the language, which happens to be Spanish. The DH1 is a book in my collection and FL1 is one Fred provided the information on.

Happy Collecting!!
