Holiday Programming

If a website ran like a major TV network, life would get very simple when the holidays roll around. We’d simply put our usual programming on hiatus and trot out those old familiar  Christmas specials . . . or anything else having to do with Christmas or Hanukkah or Kwanza . Unfortunately,  Sherlock Peoria can’t just . . . hey, wait a minute!

We’ve got old holiday material!

Things like:

Under The Tree At 221B
An exploration of Holmes/Watson gift exchanges from The Baker Street Chronicle, Volume 2, Number 6, November-December 1982.

The Blue Carbuncle and Sherlock’s Real Last Name.
A Christmas investigation into Holmes’s ancestry, originally presented in the January 1986 issue of Plugs & Dottles.

The Sherlockian Christmas Tree
Speculations on creating the perfect arborial tribute to Sherlock Holmes from the January 1994 issue of Plugs & Dottles.

Wishing You the Laziest Sherlockian Christmas Ever!
You think you’re lazy about Christmas? Check these tips out from the January 1996 issue of Plugs & Dottles.

Gifts That Stay Gifts
A few thoughts on the gifts at 221B from the January 1997 issue of Plugs & Dottles.

Sherlockian Christmas Wrapping
A Sherlockian Christmas rap number from the December 22, 2002 edition  of “View From Sherlock Peoria.”

A Man’s Christmas Story
A sexist look at a classic Holmes take from the December  21, 2003 edition of “View From Sherlock Peoria.’

The “Compliments of the Season” Conspiracy
A pundit’s take on alternate holiday greetings from December 18, 2005’s edition of “View From Sherlock Peoria.”

Two Days After Christmas
Yes, another one of those “Night Before Christmas” rewrites from last year’s “View From Sherlock Peoria.”

Of course, that’s just my own catalog.  Don has a whole bunch of Christmas reruns of his own on his archive page, and then there’s this batch of Christmas cheers:

Episode Fifteen: The Christmas Special

Episode Sixty-Six: Nightmare on Baker Street

Episode Sixty-Seven: It IS A Wonderful Life!

Episode Sixty-Eight: Coasting Out the Year

Episode One Hundred and Nine (Blue Carbuncle): Sold Out!

Hope you and yours have a great holiday!
